New Toy in the Box

For years, I’ve been wanting to get a sea kayak to take advantage of the huge bay just down the hill from the house.  Not just for the joy of being out on the water and the thought of adventures to be had exploring around all the tiny islands, but for some good fishing as well.  Well, I finally broke down and did it.  Got myself a 4 meter sit-on-top Kayak called, of all things, Corona.  Couldn’t imagine a worse name at this time in the history of the world, but what the hell, it was the best one for what I wanted.

And it fits on the car!!

It’s basically a 2.5 seater that can be adjusted for a solo paddler.

Now, I haven’t actually gotten it into the water yet thanks to the lovely rainy season we are having this year, but I look forward to posting some reviews and pics here as I get the paddles wet and have some adventures.  So check back here every now and then to see what kind of mischief I can get into with this thing.
