Everything you ever sense, in touch or taste or sight or even thought, has an effect on you that is greater than zero. So I finally made through the 930-some-odd page novel called Shantaram by Gregory Roberts. A fascinating story! And the guy is a pretty good story teller so I highly recommend the book. His pace is kind of weird though so I would find myself at times unable to put it down, but then in no big hurry to pick it back up again. In fact, at one point, I loaned the book out to a friend when I was only a third of the way through it. Upon its return though, I reread the beginning and continued on to the end.  Again, a fascinating read if you consider the places this guy went and the things that he did.
