Lately, I’ve been hooked on the Cosmos series by Carl Sagan. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it for the depth of its coverage and the ease of its transmission of information. Watching it, I feel I need to apologize to my astronomy teacher in high school. He tried showing us these in class and yet I didn’t have the sense to pay attention and listen to what was being said. Oh, how that would have changed my life. Had I but realized how amazing the things that Dr. Sagan was telling us in those videos were. Alas, I payed little attention and lacked the math skills necessary to squeak by with anything better than a D-.
