2 Hours of Twisties
Back in April of 2012, I put this post on Ninjette.com:
“So, I’ve been doing some exploring around here and found a pretty good route for a quick ride. (At last!) We have a lot of problems around here with roads being too narrow, too crowded, or just disappearing all of a sudden. (Going from 2-lane to donkey track without warning.)
I’ve done this route twice now and think it will be great for training and keeping in shape. There are a few points in my riding I need to work on, so I’m happy to finally find a route on which I can do that.
Here’s the map link. (You may have to click “Snap line to roads” – I’m not sure.)
Doubt if there are any other riders on the forum in my area, but take a look if you are interested in what mountain roads are like here in Japan. Of course, if anyone is interested in coming over the big pond, I got a spare bike in the garage. (Yamaha SRV250 – Almost a cafe style racer.) And would be happy to take you on the tour personally.”
Well, I took my Baby Ninja out for the first ride of the new year today and managed to find an addendum to that route that gets me an additional 3 to 5 K’s of serious turns on nicely paved road. Had a fantastic, stress relieving ride with some awesome scenery of the rain clouds running before me and out over the bay. Excellent road conditions on all the technical portions of the ride and really a nice, unseasonably warm day.
